QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATION
Lean Six Sigma Certification Program
In Association with Soarent Pty. Ltd., Soarent Vision offers a CERTIFICATION PROGRAM for Lean Six Sigma Green Belts, Black Belts and Master Black Belts. it is primarily designed to suit the needs of organisations that have implemented business improvement initiatives and are in pursuit of:
- Recognition of competence in the Lean Six Sigma discipline by a NATIONAL TRAINING BODY; and
- ACCREDITED QUALIFICATIONS that are aligned to the level of competence demonstrated.
The Soarent Vision Certification Program offers a rigorous process that provides credibility for partner organisations and their employees in the issue of Lean Six Sigma qualifications.

22 Certified Units of Competency - Advanced Diploma Qualification
Soarent Vision’s Lean Six Sigma education program is formally registered as the Advanced Diploma in Business Quality Improvement (BQI). It comprises a total of 22 Units of Competency, each one addressing a specific aspect of the qualification. Varying levels of certification are offered according to the level of competency demonstrated.
A qualification is only issued after a participant demonstrates competency across all relevant units for the qualification being offered.
Four Levels of Lean Six Sigma Certification
Within the framework of the Advanced Diploma in BQI course, 4 specific Lean Six Sigma levels of certification are provided by Soarent Vision.
- LEVEL 1 - Lean Business Practitioner
- LEVEL 2 - Lean Six Sigma GREEN BELT (can go on to achieve Diploma in BQI)
- LEVEL 3 - Lean Six Sigma BLACK BELT (can go on to achieve Advanced Diploma in BQI)
- LEVEL 4 - Lean Six Sigma MASTER BLACK BELT

How Are Qualifications Issued
Qualifications are generally issued according to the following process:
- Participants undertake FORMAL TRAINING
- Participants lead at least 2 WORK BASED BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS that add auditable value to a company using relevant methodologies
- Participants MAKE APPLICATION FOR ASSESSMENT and provide EVIDENCE of competency
- Applications are REVIEWED and participants notified of progress entitlement
- Formal INTERVIEW is undertaken
- Formal EXAMINATION is undertaken where necessary
- Formal QUALIFICATIONS are issued to those who meet the requirements of the relevant program
It is important to recognise that while a minimum of two projects must be completed, in some cases more than two projects will be required to demonstrate competency for the more comprehensive levels.

Attaining Nationally Recognised Diploma and Advanced Diploma Qualifications

The qualifications are issued by Soarent Vision under the governance of the Australian Qualifications Framework .
- These, have been designed by representatives across a range of industries
- They are offered up to the Diploma and Advanced Diploma levels
- They are constantly reviewed to ensure industry needs are continually met
DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS QUALITY IMPROVEMENT
The Diploma Level qualification requires the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt to complete 17 units of competency.
ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS QUALITY IMPROVEMENT
The full Advanced Diploma qualification is the equivalent of an Associate Degree or about 2/3 of a Bachelor Degree. It requires the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt to complete 22 units of competency to attain the qualification.

- It is an important SOURCE OF MOTIVATION for participants.
- It provides the foundations for an INTERNAL PROGRESSION and career development process for competent leaders.
- It adds CREDIBILITY to your business improvement training program.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Participants of Lean Six Sigma training programs other than that offered by Soarent Vision may also pursue Diploma and Advanced Diploma qualifications through a process of RPL.
Provided applicants can meet the following criteria, qualifications can be issued.
(a) Completed a minimum of 2 value adding business improvement projects; and
(b) Can provide evidence of competency in all relevant modules;
