Since it’s first delivery in Perth (Western Australia) in 2010, attendance at Soarent Vision’s nationally accredited Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (Diploma) and Black Belt (Advanced Diploma) program has grown beyond expectations.
It is now a part of the Business Improvement staff development strategy for a number of major companies including Fortescue Metals Group, Anglo American, Woodside Energy, Citic Pacific Mining and Western Power.
The main expectation of industry is to receive content that can be applied immediately after training has been delivered to generate value. For instance in Australia the certification requirements of our Black Belt program in Lean Six Sigma Training had to answer the requirements of an Advanced Diploma qualification in order to get accreditation…..The truth is that basic understanding of Lean Six Sigma method and its essential tools does not actually require too much time.
True … a basic understanding can be established quickly.
The real challenge is converting basic understanding into practical application and business related results in the dynamics of the workplace. According to one study I read from the USA, some 80 percent of companies implementing BI initiatives fail through the inability to convert understanding into practical results that turn the cost of implementation into an investment.
