What is a Master Black Belt?

Master Black Belts perform the role of in-house coach or in-house consultant on Lean Six Sigma. They devote 100 percent of their time to Lean Six Sigma activities. They assist project champions, process owners and act as mentors to Green Belts and Black Belts.

They spend their time ensuring effective and consistent application of the Lean Six Sigma methodology throughout the organisation, across various functions and departments.
