What is RPL?

Unlike the usual requirements for entry to a given program of study, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) takes into account, not only the formal study that an individual may have undertaken, but also any relevant training that they may have done whilst at work, community involvement, home and life experiences. If their prior learning shows they can achieve the learning outcomes of a Unit of Competency, they may be assessed on that learning and given credit for the unit in a given course.
